I hear in Kansas that SIX Republicans changed to Democrat in order to save their jobs. I think that's funny.

To borrow from Mark Twain:

"The report of the Republican demise has been greatly exaggerated." Now, go use your college education and smarts to look up the meaning of the word exaggerated.

IF 6 Republicans did change to Democrat, that is ok as long as they continue to vote the right way (no pun intended). Most of us registered voters who do vote ignor the party registration and vote the person we feel best represents us- unless you are elderly in which case they tend to be loyal to party regardless of positions of the party. Many of them forget Theodore Roosevelt is dead; were he alive today he too would turn from the Democrat party because it has left its base.

What you hear is anger at the Republicans for abandoning their base, that does not mearn they are divorcing their party.

As I recall Democrats rejoyced prematurely the last 3 major elections. It was a Bill Clinton (remember him, a democrat?) appointed US Supreme Court that certified the ballots for the 2000 presidential election, contrary to pundits that calim it was stolen, it was won.

Keep your salt handy, it is easier to eat crow with it.
