The state of things in the U.S. if the Democrats win depends on how many seats they gain, and ultimately, whether they take the presidency in 2008. If their gains are significant, I think things can get better. Democratic leaders such as Barack Obama and Rahm Emanuel have the right ideas about important economic and social issues, and hopefully their vision will click with the majority.

as bad as the Republicans are, the Democrats are afraid to take action, and appease the wrong people. The Democrats want to rely on the UN to solve internat'l crisis and to lean on "diplomatic" ways of resolving conflict. They will grant amnesty to illegal aliens (Bush wants this also, but it's the house that blocks the bill to pass), and they will raise taxes. You think spending is bad now? Dems love to spend.
Honestly I hope that the Democrats win so that this country will go to Hell in a Handbasket quickly and things can be put "right" again... get the drift? right... republican... right wing... get it? huh????

Get better. Things are almost always better when they're in power. Republicans like to see everyone poor, repressed and fighting oversees somewhere.

Going on gut feeling. "C" Get worse....The war thing scares me. Pulling out too soon might not be a great idea. Not that I know ...But just seems to risky.
