I wrote this, hoping people will see what true friendship is about.
Have I Told You Lately
The day I first saw you’re face and smile I knew,
my life would never be the same.
You came from out of no where,
and I didn’t even know your name.
I never really believed in love at first site,
and thought it was more of a persons fantasy
but now I have to be honest with myself,
and say I’m glad you made a liar out of me.
You are the reason I get up each day,
and the reason I look for tomorrow.
It’s only when I’m not around you,
that I ever feel pain or sorrow.
I can’t think of a greater gift in this world,
than for a man to live his dream.
To be able to go to bed each night with you,
and wake up in the arms of that dream.
So I just want you to know, why I haven’t told you,
that I love you more than life itself and to its very end.
Because I cannot hurt the one, that just said to me,
have I told you lately, you’re my best friend.

honestly I dont think anyone has a true friend! someone always says something negative about someone no matter if they are good friends or not! you never really know someone!! I had a best friend for almost 6 yrs and as soon as I had my son she became a whole diffferent person to me!!! and yet she wanted to be my sons godmother but she chose to go to disneyland the day after my son was born! and refused to help me even though i did everything for h er when she had her daughter at 15!

a true friend will forgive u, they want to be around u, they dont make u feel like u have to change, they wont put pressure on u, they will help u through hard times 2...

you know someone is your good friend when you could call them at 3 in the morning to bail you out of jail, a true friend is the one sitting beside you saying ....damn that was fun!!!

If you do something that they dont approve of but stand by you anyways. That is a true friend.

because they are there for you when you need someone to talk to and they are always there to hang out with and talk with. and because they are always there to goof off and be silly with you.
