My husband and I were only 19 and 20 when we got pregnant with our daughter, and rather than be happy for us, our families were freaking out. Well, now our daughter is 20 months old, and they have seen what good parents we are. We want to start trying for baby #2. This time around we know that we will actually hear things like "congratulations!" rather than "oh no!" so we really want to enjoy it and have fun with it. Any good ideas? My only idea is to make cards with our daughters pic on the front saying "Guess what! I'm going to be a big sister!" and then have a copy of the ultrasound, due date, etc, on the inside. And then we would of course send them out to everybody and wait for all the excited phone calls. Do you think thats a fun idea, or have other good ideas?

My sister asked everyone over and had a scavenger hunt. It was just all silly things but at the very end of it was a babies dummy with a note that said 'The reason for the hunt is that we are having a baby. Hope you are the first to find out!' it was very cool

well, I got the reply twice from my families with an oh no. I wish that I could of had a bash with all of my family member congratulation us on having another baby. I wouldn't be too sure that they will be happy for you just yet. Just have a card and tell them on the card that "We are building a new addition for the family", and then open the card and it will say "in my belly!" Or I like the ultrasound photos too.

I found out by way og home pg test on Christmas Morning 2000 that I was pregnant with my first daughter(I have 3 now). I told my then bf, who went back to sleep. So I decided to call my mom 70 miles away......My sister answered the phone and I told her and she literally dropped the phone, Mom picked it up and asked who it was I said " I'm pregnant, Merry Christmas!" Her response was pretty much what I expected...."You better get married right quick" Well, to make a long story short, we got married, and I got doted on so bad it made my sister jealous.

I think that's a really cute idea. I don't know if you have a local channel in your area, but we have a channel that you can put up greetings, rent, selling stuff....that would be a good idea too, and that way you won't miss anybody!!!

We sent pink and blue flowers to our moms....partly because I'm not a huggy person.

The card said...I can't wait to meet you...see you around the end of July! Love, Baby insert last name.

So now you're about 21 and 23.......are you sure you're ready for two kids...financially, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually?
