Most places you have to 18 to get any pet, sneaking a pet in the house, thinking your parents won't notice, is NEVER a good idea and its the animal who suffers. If your parents won't let you have a hamster, do not get one.

Yeah. Your parent(s) have to sign a paper saying that you can buy it, but some pet stores will not make you sign a paper, so if you find one of those, you are safe and can get one, but I would say you have to be over eighteen, yes. ~LOLZ~
