Yeah someone threw a brick through my friend's window. Luckily, no one was hurt. If they find out who did it what can they be charged with? Is it a misdemeanor or a felony?

Yes they can it is called criminal damage to property, and it depend what the total cost of the damage is to make it a misdemeanor or a felony. I think more than $300.00 or $500.00 constitutes a felony depending on where you live!!!!

Depends upon the state and what the prosecutor could prove, and perhaps the guy's past history. I can think of:

Criminal destruction of property
Criminal Vandalism
Harassment
Attempted assault (if the guy thought someone was there)
Attempted murder (?) (If the guy had reason to believe that throwing the brick through the window was a serious risk of death to the occupant)

And anything in between. Likely a misdemeanor if the value of the window was not much, the guy has few priors, and no one was in the structure with the window.

Vandalism is a slam dunk, I think the felony or misdemeanor depends on the value of the offense

Possibly: Trespassing, breaking and entering, attempted battery, assault (if someone was home and near the window), stalking depending on local law, vandalism.

Misdemeanor/felony depends on the jurisdiction.

depends on the state or municipality. different laws for different areas and counties; etc etc
but most would consider it an act of vandalism and/or willful destruction of property.
if it was intentional and someone was hurt because of it, then the it could be considered criminal (felony)
