We won't replace the Statue of Liberty, but if you want to build such a statue, I don't care one way or the other. Just don't ask me to help pay for it. When a terrorist nuclear bomb blows up New York (think it can't happen? Read Clancy's The Sum of All Fears.) and it is necessary to re-build the statue, that I'll help pay for.

Actually, not a bad idea. That Statue of Liberty no longer has the same meaning. The nation that gave it to us in goowdill is dead now.

Hmmmmm.....maybe, but I'm afraid that people would tear it down like they tore down the statue of Saddam in Iraq, which would be fine with me. I think Bush should be impeached.....he needs to just go away.
