Are you talking about opening a link? In Internet Explorer 6, i know if you right click a link and click open a new link in new window, it opens in a new window. Also, you could click control+n, if you aren't opening a link, for a window that's the same, with same history and all that.

it depends on your browser. if you have mozilla firefox ,Netscape or Internet explorer. if you have mozilla firefox then on the link you would click instead of double clicking it you would instead right click and the click if you want to open it in a new window click open link in new window, or if you want it in a new tab click open in a new tab. if you have IE6 then I don't know. For IE7 click the new tab button on the Yahoo toolbar. In netscape it should do it automatically, depending on the situation.

well, if there is a particular link that you want to open in a new window, you can right mouse button click on it and it should give you options to "open link in a new window" or "open link in a new tab"

You can hit "ctrl" + "n" to open a new page. If there is a hyperlink, right click and go to "Open in New Window".
