Ok. How big is the dent? is it larger then a quarter? Is it something that if looked at is easily seen? If it is and it's very noticeable don't even bother with it. If it is smaller and is not really noticeable you need to do the following (these steps should be followed ANY time you paint a car)
1: Clean the area to be repaired
2: with some 400 grit sandpaper sand area to be painted and out to 2 inches beyond the area. (you have to do this to allow the new paint a surface it will hold to)
3: clean sanded area with a soapy cloth
4: let area dry completely
5: use tack cloth to clean area to be painted
6: Mask off Areas not to be painted to avoid over spray
7: using spray gun / spray can spray paint on to area in straight lines. Spray 8 to 12 inches from surface.
8: be sure while spraying to release trigger or button at the end of each pass. (This assures an even covering)
9: let surface completely dry before applying additional coats.

You cannot just paint the dent. There is surface dirt and other things there, and probably missing original paint. Even if you got an exact color match, the rest of the car's paint has probably faded some over time so you would not get a true match. To try and paint this would be a waste of time, as it would not adhere properly and the dent is still going to be evident. Depending upon the age of the car, you might want to reconsider. If this is a very tiny dent, you can try, but frankly, anything larger than a very tiny ding you cannot just slap on paint.

But why not fix the dent. Depending on the size of the dent it can be as easy and getting a suction cup and pulling the dent out then smooth any creases with a little bondo. Then prime and paint.
Using the serial number on your car you should be able to match the original paint. Then lightly sand and then paint the area.

If you paint over that dent and you do decide to use the PDR method to repair it later the paint will not have a memory of being dented and when they push the dent out the paint will crack! Trust me get the dent fixed you'll be glad you did.

You can buy your paint color in a can. With clear coat and all any more it is hard the person who does things himself. But the auto parts stores will have paint listings.

wipe it with alcohol to remove any residue and hold spray can 6-8 inches away and use short burts being careful not to over spray and cause a run.
or just buy some touch-up paint from the dealership!!
