Shut down and unplug the computer, then open the case. There is a large watch battery somewhere in the lower right of your motherboard. This is the CMOS battery. It stores your passwords, date and time, etc. Remove it and wait a half hour or so. If you are confident, there is the CMOS jumper- pull the battery, move the jumper over, wait 5 seconds, move it back, then put the battery in. You need your motherboard specs to show you where the CMOS jumper is, and what settings will clear it, and what settings are just plain bad. Your passwords will be blank when you start it back up.
In the future, make a password reset disk- at the welcome screen, hit Ctrl+Alt+Del twice- this gets you the logon box- hit options, and there is a wizard in there

get a linux boot disk put it in the floppy.
boot the computer off the floppy, navigate to the password file on the c: drive and delete it.

There are password recovery programs you can buy, but other than that you don't have a lot of options beond reinstaling windows XP.
