I need to substitute for each of these "career words" one that is inclusive. that is, one that does not automatically suggest the sex of the person.
a)fireman - Do you think it can be firefighter ?
b)steward, stewardess
c)waitress
d)mailman
e)policeman, policewoman
f)actress

a) Firefighter is indeed good, and generally used today.
b) Steward and Stewardess is no longer used. Flight Attendant.
c) Server
d) mail carrier
e) police officer
f) I've heard "actor" used now to mean both male or female performers.
