how many seconds does it take :
1,(for a rocket) lighting the fuse and exploding in the sky
2,(for a catherine wheel) light the fuse and start spinning

any other timings would be greatful.

your best bet, would be to get extra fuse and fuse them together one after the other, then you only have to light once.

It all depends on the type and size of the fuse AND the porpellant.
Class C or Class B?

They have a downloadable book avaliable for 5 bucks. It lists 90% of all consumer fireworks, what the effect is AND DURATION in seconds.
I do know that most waterproof viscos burn rate is aprox 25 seconds per foot.
