What is the height and width of the screen of a 15.4 widescreen laptop?

I have now a 3 and half years old laptop with 16 inches. I want to buy a new one and I don't know if I should buy a 15.4 or a 17 inches. I don't want something too small compared to what I have

I know that TV and screens are measured with daigonals, that's why I ask the height and width of 15.4 screens of laptops so I can compare with my 16" laptop (they don't sell those anymore).

tv's and computer screens are measured by the number of inches on the diagnol. so height and weight may vary.
