Ask her directly why she needs it. Then call that department and ask why they need your "passport" number.
She might be filing for child support and that is how the government make's sure you do not flee the country!
If you have kid's, you are responsible for supporting them financially.
She should already know where you were born. Find out why she needs that information.
Consult an attorney about your "passport" number.

I don't see why unless she's trying to put you on child support or something. I wouldn't give her any info with the way identities are stolen these days. You can go to the credit bureau and put a message on your credit report that she's not allowed to get credit in your name.
