It depends on the species, Sidewinders (Crotalus cerastes) weigh 8 to 15 ounces, Western Diamond Backs (Crotalus atrox) may weight up to 5 pounds or more, the real giant is the Eastern Diamond-back (Crotalus adamanteus) has been weighed at over 15 pounds. Tropical Rattlesnakes (Crotalus durrisus, and Crotalus terrificus) are rather light and weigh 4 pounds or so. The pigmy rattlesnakes (Sistrurus miliaris et al.) are lightweight and seldom more than a half pound. Red Diamond-backs (Crotalus ruber) weigh 3-4 pounds. Both the Pacific and the Prairie rattlesnakes seldom weigh 3 pounds. Timber Rattlesnakes (Crotalus horridus) and the closely related Canebreak seldom exceed five pounds. The weighs I have given are for snakes between meals...we usually weigh snakes prior to feeding them. A standard laboratory mouse weighs up to 60 grams (2 ounces) and a standard rat can weigh from 3 ounces up to 10 ounces which would change the weights, so they are weighed before feeding.

2 lbs for a male and 1.3 lbs for a female on average. Of course some can be larger or smaller. That's for a timber rattlesnake.
The eastern diamondback can range from 4-10lbs.

There is one around your neck right now and you can hardly feel
it, right? Well, just step on this scale _/= and we'll weigh you both then take it off and weigh just you and find the difference.
