3 months in Vietnam, 3 purple hearts for wounds which didn't cause him to miss even 1 day of work? And he won't release the records that show his injuries?
Just because you got a medal,doesn't make you a war hero. It just means somebody checked a box saying you met the requirements. Just ask Tim McVeigh, the Oklahoma City bomber- he got the Bronze Star for his Gulf War service.
And you'd be hard pressed to find ANYONE call him a "warhero."
My dad has a purple heart from WW2 and he loves telling the story about how he got it. Whats Kerry hiding?

All slander, no facts. How Kerry got his medals are widely known. Fact is, i didn't want him to be the presidential nominee, but only an misinformed and unappreciative 'person' would slander someone for their service in wartime. And just so you know, medical records are personal.

You show your honor by acknowledging your fathers service. I would ask you to also to show honor by respecting any fellow American who served their country.
Hate his political stands, question any awards, but the act of military service, should at the very least, be seen for a commitment to country.
I respectfully disagree with you concerning the assumption that if one doesn't tell "war stories", they must be hiding something. My Father was a Navy pilot in the second world war. My Father-in-law served on the USS Wisconsin, also in WW2. My Mother lost her Brother in that war. My Great Grandfather was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor during the Indian War. My Daughter proudly serves in the Navy aboard an aircraft carrier as a flight deck Aviation Ordinance Petty Officer. Neither my Father, or my Father-in-law, have shared stories about battle. They too have ribbons and honors, but choose not to discuss the horrors that happened, which led to those honors. I do speak as a daughter, but I do not question their valor, because I haven't been told a detailed story.
Again, respectfully, many soldiers put their service in the past, and want to keep it there. I believe a disservice is being done when judging that the quality of any soldier's honor should be based on their ability to describe horrific details of any battle engagement to others.

Kerry gets medals for being an Elitist Skull&Bones sailor. Read Secrets of the Tomb The S&B's have a tradition of serving in the Navy. They even have their own bootcamp so they do not have to train with underlings.
When I was in Vietnam only people that were evacuated got PH's if you were patched up and released no PH. But that was USMC policy I knew guys in other branches that got PH's for split ends or a nose bleed.
I am just as concerned as you but the issue is not so much who fought where and when it is Plutocrats against America.

No they don`t, they have never read the swift boat book and believe he is a war hero with purple hearts and all. The Liberal media declared all the 294 veterans liars and case closed. We won`t speak of it again except to use it as a derogatory against Republicans.
Their masters never told them about the inconstancy's and they listen to no one else.
There were many of us that refused our purple heart as our injury was unworthy. My hand was cut open by a banding wire, far more serious than any of Kerry`s little nicks and scrapes, but not worthy of a Purple heart. However, then I wasn`t trying for the 3 purple heart rule to get out of Country as fast as I could either.

As a DEMOCRAT, I dont' care what he did 30 years ago, I care about what is happening now. What did BUSH do? And by the way good tax payer money is being spent so he could be the biggest bully in the world to stick up for his half sorry father. Give me a break. It is amazing - one more thing money buys you, I guess. Thank God Kerry didn't make it as president. It absolutely blew me away when one of his major goals was to decrease our weapons budget !!! What?? We all know he who has the most and biggest guns wins. Can you imagine the countries that will try to blow us away when our defense is weakened !! And he claims to love this country?
