It's like we've given up on trying to find or kill him. He's a "non-issue" this campaining season. I guess Kerry is a bigger target for the White House.

Capturing Bin Laden was only part of Bush's agenda for a few months as far as I can tell. He's actually on the record saying that he's not too worried about Bin Laden. He only masterminded the most devastating attack ever perpetrated against the U.S. Why should we be worried about him? Your avatar is awesome, by the way. I love that movie!

We haven't forgotten bin laden but it seems that he's not as important of an issue as he was in the past. Ever since 2001 news coverage about osama has been decreasing likely due to the fact that we don't have a clue to where he is. All the news is focused on the war in Iraq and Iran's nuclear bombs. Also i read there are only 20,000 troops in afghanistan and about 150,000 troops in Iraq, this definately tells us where the pentagon is focusing most of their efforts.

Actually, I think he's best off wherever he is right now. If we kill him, he's an instant martyr. If we jail him, there will be thousands of hostages taken in hopes of exchanging for him. Right now, he's hiding in caves and under rocks... hearing Predator drones flying over.. wondering which of his associates might sell him out at any timefor the 25 million dollar reward. Hoping he doesn't get any medical condition that might require big-city hospital treatment.

He is unable to communicate effectively with his followers and so is becoming less and less relevant to world events.

He has, in essence, sentenced himself to life without parole. Living through frigid winters in the mountains for the rest of his days. His own self-imposed sentence is far harsher than anything he would ever experience at Gitmo.
