I was looking up the scores for the game with the MLB all-stars against Japan's all-stars played I think today or last night and it said that the MLB players tied the game. What does this mean? I thought that there were no such thing as ties in baseball unless there was a rainout. I guess the final score was 7-7. How does this work??

See its a meaningless game to both teams. They were just out there to have some fun. On the other hand. If it was a regular season game or playoff game it would matter and they would play extra innings.

Since it is an exhibition series, they will occasionally have tie game if the game last too long. This is to avoid possible injuries to the MLB stars.

In games that don't actually have any meaning (like exhibitions or 'glory games' like this game) it is up to the managers discretion to call the game.
