I must say I totally disagree with you here. If a person does not want to live anymore I have a hard time figuring out why it is my job to keep them alive. If a doctor has a patient that wants to die then by all means, he ought to be able to help that patient. Who would know better how to kill someone painlessly than a doctor. Now obviously this can get a little hairy. There would have to be some kind of signed form or something from the patient saying he wanted to die and wanted doctor so and so to do the killing. Otherwise the potential is there for doctors to go hog-wild and start killing patients left and right, which isn't exactly what we're looking for. But I'm all for doctors killing terminal patients. Hell I'm all for people killing themselves period. Starts to thin out the gene pool a little.

That's a topic that takes a lot of soul searching and a lot of reading on your own. In the end you just have to make up your own mind about it. I was at one time firmly against it, but after extensive research I did a complete 180 -- very unusual for me, 'cause I'm very stubborn. I now feel that the right to take control of the end of your life in terminal cases should be an absolute right.

Any one who is suffering should be allowed to die. If your dog or cat was in severe pain that couldn't be fixed, would you put it to sleep, or let it suffer until it dies? Dr. assisted suicide should be legal, however, then you have the problem of proving it's not doctor assisted murder.

Of course they should...and who are you, or anyone else, to make that decision for them?
