I am doing a paper based on Mexican rituals?

Question

still practiced in the USA today- such as religious rituals, holiday rituals, family rituals.
I need to know specifics on these. Such as what they are, how they are performed, why they are performed and what is the meaning behind them. Please send me answers as soon as possible.

Anyways back to your question. Quincenieras (sp) are widely done. Celebrating the Day of the Dead is also practiced here but not as much as in Mexico. Those are the only ones I know of.

The first one that comes to my mind is the quinceanera. Is is the celebration of a girl's 15th birthday. It is said to be the time where her transformation into womanhood is made. There's usually a church ceremony and then a huge party, where one of the activities is the father puts high heels on the girl. This event is sometimes as big a deal as a wedding.

italians are the only latinos and mexicans are hispanic, latino means you're italian, got that?
