If it was easy, you wouldn't be proving anything or developing Godly character. And the Enemy wants to do anything he can to take your eyes off God.

I agree with the others here. It seems hard because you are trying to follow a man made path. God loves us so much that He has already made the ultimate sacrifice in order to allow us to easily get into Heaven to be with Him. It's actually quite easy to stay on the right path, because all you need to do to follow God is believe that Jesus was sent to die for our sins. The rest will come naturally, as you are forgiven for your sins. Of course, this is what *I* believe, and you may have a faith that says otherwise - and that is something you will have to determine for yourself, but if you are a Christian, I hope my words have helped you some. Take care & good luck on your path!

Many reasons one or more of them may be true.

1. You may not be on the right path towards God
2. Your advice / teacher is a wrong person.
3. You come across adversities in any path.
Path towards God is no exception.
4. You do not have required internal strength or energy
to succeed in battling the obstacles.
5. You are not true to yourself.
Either you are being egoistic, pompous, or impractical
6. You are craving for miracles to happen

well there could be many more potential reasons which may be true for some people or for some time for a person.

Do not lose hope.
Continue your search.
If your search is true you are bound to get the right answer.
Do not get disheartened.

Gather yourself and keep moving in the right direction.
The divine will help if you are true and your search is true.

The reason that it is so hard is because Satan is busy trying to get everyone's eyes off what God intended man to follow...and that would be God's will. The Scriptures use the phrase as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.

God gives everyone a choice to serve Him and each and every tempation we overcome brings us closer to Him. All I can say is only with God's help can we overcome...you try on your own and you are toast.

It all goes back to "the fall" with Adam and Eve. When they disobeyed God it was then that sin entered the world. God had warned them not to eat of the forbidden fruit but they yielded to Satan's temptation and disobeyed God. So because of that we are all born of a sinful nature and at enmity with God, It is only by God's grace we can once again have fellowship with Him through us having faith to believe Christ can save us from our sins. We still have the battle of our flesh with our spirit, we are told not to yield to the temptations. We must constantly seek His help in doing what is right before the Lord.

Do you know about the story of the rich young ruler who approached Jesus and told Him he had obeyed all the commandments from his youth and asked what else he needed to do?
Jesus, knowing the man's heart, saw that he was only doing the least of what he should do and not following Him with all His Heart....Jesus told the young man, to sell all he had and follow Him. Jesus was asking him to be a diciple, follow him with all his heart, soul and strength. And we find out the man left sorrowfully
because he was a wealth man and did not want to give up what he had.
The moral of this story is not that we have to give up all we own to serve God, but we need to put Him first in out lives, love and serve Him with all our heart, soul and strength.
If we can do that ...the Word says, "My yoke is easy and my burden is light." When we are trusting in Him completely, the burden of our way does not lay on our shoulders, He helps us and convicts of sin, we repent, get up and keep going.
I encourage you to find a church that teaches from the Bible,
believes Jesus is Lord, and has people who will encourage and love you.
God Bless

Because some are so self consumed....They want to here what makes them almighty and not for God to be almighty...If it dose not fit their life style then they don't want too here it or do it...It is so easy for them to run then to face what is right...God was feed up with human stupidity.....But you see Noah pleaded with God not to destroy the Human race...That just because some were bad did not mean ALL was bad so God had Mercy own us..So that all MIGHT be SAVED don't give up pray for all that are lost so that they MAY be saved....You see Jesus tells us their will come a day when they will not be able to here about ME.That they will be blinded of me well we are in those days....Just pray for the dumb and the blinded so that they MIGHT be SAVED.....

I love how as I scroll down the answers the Atheists' answers are usually marked two thumbs down.
It is hard to follow god because it is hard for me to believe everything i am told. I question everything. Even myself. I dont believe in a god, so i cant really follow him

Because if we all followed God, how would we learn by mistakes from our own wrong doings or the wrong of others. That would make everyone Prophets, including the Politicians. That would be a scary thought.

If your internal thoughts and emotions are telling you that, then I would suggest not allowing the stress of trying to "stay the path" into your life. Stay healthy, stay free of mind and body, and stay the way you want to be, not the way others think you should.

Vanessa: it is so hard to follow God's way because we are humans. Human not gods. Imperfect cannot be perfect; but the perfect can adopt the imperfect. God will bring you and I to a perfect state in His kingdom. However here we must strive for that state in following His ways. It is hard because we are human.
