Pay is only a part of it. Both fields will offer a good living. The real question is: What do you like doing that will make you happy in the 40+ hours a week you will be working the rest of your life?

engineering. that way if you don't want to work in the electronics field after a while, you can change careers. that's the thing with engineering degrees, it doesn't really matter what you have, as long as you're recognized as a professional engineer. nowadays, you only need a degree in eng, and you can work any engineering jobs. most jobs will have you training and learning for up to a year anyway.

I had a major skipping habit in HS. I used to go to my friend's house before school, hotbox in the bathroom and then decide if we felt like going. Sometimes we stayed in and sometimes we showed up fried. If we showed up, we'd go smoke up again at lunch time. One time, I screwed up so big while skipping, I was too scared to face my parents for a week. Just took off couch surfing. I'm surprised I actually went back. They should have just murdered me. Incredibly, I graduated and completely cleaned up my act. Still embarrassed by the amount of skipping I did and the crap I got up to.

firstly, don't go to ITT Tech. its a business that after your money more than educating you. find a community college around u, and i think you have and take the foundations classes you need to start the major. Also, its better that you find a major that applies to a career that you think you would like. It seems as though you would like to be in technology or drafting. and that you do well with computers and CAD. computer aided drafting. anywho, the good sites to research the career fields in technology are also the job sites, monster.com, snagajob.com, yahoojobs, and bls.gov... a really good site to find out about careers and money statistics.

I'm no expert, but I'd say go to a state school and get a BS in engineering (whatever kind suits your fancy). I'd think you'd have more opportunities, and it might be cheaper than ITT.
