The question is vague. What does ANY capability to wage wars of destruction say about the human race? Literally, only that we have progressed to the point where our weapons can destroy the planet.
Are our efforts good enough? How would one measure that? We haven't had a nuclear war yet. As long as we don't, our efforts are by definition good and realistic enough.

They have had a new weapon for a number of years now. It still kills with radiation, but doesn't knock all of the buildings down or burn everything to a cinder. It's called a nutron bomb. The bottom line is, it won't make any difference anyway. If all of the superpowers start to launch warheads at the same time, you can stick your head between your legs and kiss your butt goodbye, because it won't matter wheither it's a nuclear or nutron bomb. We are all going to either burn up like a pine tree in a forest fire or drop deads from radiation poisoning. Sorry, but those are the hard cold facts.

This is a technological world built by human beings. Right or wrong. Obviously, the effort to contain nuclear weapon production has not worked, ref: Iran & N. Korea.

Well obviously we are a warlike people who do not trust very much. So our efforts will never be enough, now the genie is out the bottle it will never be stuffed back in.
Just have to get used to living in a nuclear world and hope some warlike genius doesn't figure out something worse. which believe you me, they are working on.

Human beings are highly overrated!
Most of us are only legions in our own minds.
We are pretty smart when it comes to discovering how things work and how to make things.
But when it comes to embracing the humanity of every soul who lives here we seem to forget about respect and dignity for others.
Good luck and good fortune to you always!

It doesn't say anything good, that's for sure.
No telling how many of my problems are a result of thinking I could get blow away at any second when I was a kid (in the '60s).
They didn't call it MAD for no reason.
