Spend as much time as possible with your family and add to your store of good memories.
When the tree is coming down, ask your mom if you can have a few special ornaments to put on your own tree next year. Begin to build your own 'family tradition ornament collection'.
Also, give each family member an engraved ornament this year with a special message just for them from you.

It might not be your last time as Christmas is all about family gathering and your parents place is where your family gathers.
Anyway, this is the time to help your mother a lot more than usual and to make some nice decorations.
You can also give them something special and handmade.
You can start a great tradition for your baby's first Christmas.
A few ideas:

Make a scrap book that everyone contributes to. Have everyone put in pictures or memories and saved Christmas cards and such. Leave plenty of space for this Christmas and Other special Christmas' in the future like. 'our first Christmas' and then 'baby's first Christmas' and such. Make sure everyone knows that it is something that you are going to take with you.
A tradition we always keep is to read the story of the birth of Jesus from the gospel of Luke. We do this while eating cinnamon rolls and drinking orange juice, and before the presents are opened.

Congrats on your engagement! I know what a sad time your last Christmas at home is, I have only been married 5 years so it wasn't so long ago for me. The only thing I can tell you is just enjoy your family, take lots of pictures and don't forget what "CHRIST"mas really means.

Don't do anything out of the ordinary - keep your family traditions intact. When you start your own family, you will combine both of your families traditions and even create new ones. God's Blessings on your engagement.

Some of our traditions are, everyone gets one present on Christmas Eve, and every kids gets Christmas P.J's and they get that on Christmas Eve, so when they wake up the next morning they have on nice new P.j's for the pictures, and Christmas P.J's just can't be any old P.J it takes me a long time to find the right ones, they have to be cool

You will never have a "last Christmas at home" unless you plan on dying soon. I'm 39, And I ALWAYS spend Christmas with my families. Mine, In-laws and the one I grew up in.

Be sure to be involved in everything. Sitting back idle will only lead toa forgettable holiday. Help cook, or make some new dishes, over-decorate the house, take pictures like there is no tomorrow.

Help do everything! Decorate the tree, help with the cooking(or do it yourself. What a great gift for Mom!) and make gifts for your loved ones. It can be something crafty, or a goody basket of homeade goodies! What ever you make, it will mean more because you took the time and effort to make it special!
Good Luck to you!
