Hi,

I'll be moving into an apartment shortly. There is a company that offers appliances to rent through the apartment management. My question is will the 30 dollar a month renting fee be included in my rent, or would it be a seperate bill?

It will probably be a seperate bill. You should ask the landlord.

My question to you would be Do you have to rent through this company or can you provide your own? $30/month is $360/year... I have seen refrigerators in good working condition at thrift stores for $150 and less.... Also look in the paper and at garage sales....And try Craigslist.com.... When I sold my last house I gave away for free a lowboy freezer and an extra refrigerator because I downsized and had now room for them in the new place. If you could get one for $150 and even if it costs you $50 to rent a truck to move it, you will still be ahead by $150...

Another thing to consider is do you really need a full sized refrigerator? If it is just you in the apartment maybe you can get away with a dorm type unit.... Might be even cheaper!

Wow, what a rip off! Having to supply your own fridge? I suggest you buy one used - I just sold my old one for $50.

Think about buying a used fridge and save yourself money.
