Wholeheartedly!! I am of the opinion that if you can't write it out fully, it isn't worth saying. I happen to be one of those people that friends get angry at because it takes me so long to send a text message; nothing is abbreviated.

I have some Yankee slang. But your right It dose send out a warning signal.
Like" aww ...man what next'? are they going to pull a gun on me?
No but the serious side of it is a lot of teenagers now are using it differently Then they did back thirty years ago. I guess they think there being funny.
See I told you I use some slang. And I am long winded too.

Sometimes,I know I like to do it if I'm typing something really long.As long as it is something I can read I really don't care if a person has alot of abbreviations.

I don't hate it. For me it's more of an annoyance, only because I can understand some of it, but for every word to be like that, it can be hard for me to understand. I find it annoying when someone talks to you that way and when someone types that way on occasion.

It aggravates me greatly, to the point that I feel like slapping the person for using butchered English.
Mind you, I'm not referring to people who are disabled or have a speech impedement. I'm only talking about the people who willingly talk as if they have a swollen tongue.

Yes, I find it annoying. Hate is a strong word, annoyance is closer to my reaction.
