My wife and I are visiting San Francisco in a couple of weeks and we'd like to know where to eat breakfast while there. The hotel we are staying at serves breakfast but it is quite pricy (avg $25/person). We are both somewhat health-conscious so places which serve healthier food are more appealing to us. Any recommendations?

Mama's is awesome! It is located on Washington Square in North Beach. I think (double check with your conceirge) that it is closed on Mondays. There are healthy options but beware--the omlettes and french toast with fresh fruit may lead you to eat less healthy than you had planned. Not the cheapest place but WAY less than $25 a person. Go early--lines are HUGE on weekends.

Where in SF are you staying? That would help narrow it down as I'm sure you do not want to trek all over the city for breakfast. Mama's however is worth the trek.

There is a San Francisco Restaurant dining guide that you can either purchase or look up on the internet. It shows restaurants from Breakfast to dinner places. From affordable to expensive.
