I don' t understand why do we always have to choose only one best player, there are many players that can be at the same level not necessarily being one better then the other, I'll choose Thierry Henry, Ronaldinho, Messi, Eto'o, Riquelme, Nedved, they are all best players, because they can win a match by themselves and they play for the team.

Henry can go missing in big games so i'd say not (although he's not far off). I'd go for Ronaldinho (on his day) or Kaka (more consistently). Potentially Rooney and Aguero (At Madrid) could be but historically (still playing) over ten years or so, you can't look further than Paulo Maldini and Javier Zanetti.

If you're talking about form at the moment, Didier Drogba is causing all defences problems, but he's not the best player in the world. He's on the best form.

Best player in the world is Ronaldinho! He's not playing to his best at the moment, but did you see the goal he set up against Chelsea in the Nou Camp? Amazing.

I wont call Henry the best on any given day. For me it's Drogba and C.Ronaldo who are the best these days.

It's a matter of opinion, but I like Ronaldinho, Henry, Eto'o, Villa and Cristiano Ronaldo right now.
