Honestly, it's not guns that create violent crime, it's PEOPLE. It's the people that abuse and disregard the law that contribute to violent crime.

Keep in mind, the U.S. is dramatically larger in size compared to England and Japan, so naturally they would have less crime, regardless of gun laws.

England is similar to the size of New York State, and Japan is similar in size to Maine. These are very small countries in comparison to the U.S.

More people = More crime

No. If guns were the ONLY cause of violent crimes then NO ONE would be killed with axes, hammers, knives and all the other ways people are killed. Cars kill people or is it the driver killing people? Should we outlaw cars? How about airplanes, trains, boats and things?

No, it is the people doing the violence. I have many guns of all types and NEVER has one jumped off the wall, ****** itself, pulled its trigger and killed ANYTHING!!!! Won't and can't happen.

In ALL countries where guns have been outlawed, the crime rates are INCREASING. Japan, for the most part, is a country of meek people. The "powers, at that time, forced them into WW II" Not all supported the war, but had no choice. Just like the military, not all thought it was a great idea to jump on the US of A. One Japanese admiral said, "I am afraid we have awaken a sleeping giant", and he was totally right.

Registration of guns comes first and then confiscation.
It WILL happen one day and then the defenseless people can be conquered without a fight Pops

Yes, and ink pens create check fraud. What a stupid concept.
The English people were never armed, to begin with, so that's a lazy point. Besides, crime in England is much, much higher than most people think. Violent crime is on the rise in the UK and home invasions are higher per capita than most places in the US.
Japan has an actual justice system where the US has a revolving door and gives violent criminals unlimited chances.
Japanese culture also places importance on honor and the criminal activity shames a family--which is a very big deal.
Also, the critera that makes a crime, injury or death "gun related" are absurd.

I would need to see the per capita statistics to even consider your claims about Japan's, Great Britain's, and America's violent crime rates but I can bring up some points about each.

England has a vast array of video surveillance which not only acts as a deterrent to crime, it is used in conjunction with face recognition software to allow the police to apprehend wanted criminals before they can commit further crime.

Japan has a big cultural difference from the USA. Pride and Shame are big components of their sociology. Children are raised there to avoid bringing shame to themselves and more importantly, their families. The fear of shame for being caught commiting a crime is a big deterrent to the average Japanese.

The vast majority of US gun owners are law abiding citizens who never have any gun-related problems, it is the very few who commit violent crime (with guns) who create the impression that guns are a danger to society.

BTW: violent criminals prefer unarmed victims.

this is in basic terms my attitude. NO. Strict gun rules cut back violent gun-appropriate crimes, it does no longer cut back violent crimes. How do you shield your self? it relatively is available, yet opportunities are high, you have no longer have been given a raffle. A gun is what can help people shield themselves. needless to say there must be historic past exams, yet once you tighten the noose, it would not artwork. In China, some (very few) all and sundry is making their own pistols illegally because of the fact basically the defense force could have firearms. the reason it works in China is as a results of the dying sentences. every person with a gun is punished with dying. So until you will kill each gun protecting regulation criminal, it is not going to artwork. In London, all and sundry is procuring bats to shield themselves because of the fact their weapons have been outlawed. Amazon have been given 50x extra sales of bats than popular. you need to be waiting to stability it out. No weapons for criminals and mentally sick people. weapons for the voters in the event that they % it.

Guns sit in a drawer day-dreaming until some jerk picks it up, loads it, points it and shoots it.
Guns do not breed, create, or produce violence.
Violent people do.
We in the US live in a violent, " wild west" environment in which tough guys, standing up for your rights, and defending your women is a cultural legacy started when we started eradicating the natives from their lands. Our society/media/stories glorify heroes, who bash others and get something DONE.
Using the gun to protect and/or destroy what an idividual wants is part of our identity.
Guns are easy, cheap and plentiful, so it continues.
It is true that when we take guns out of the hands of the legal people, only criminals will have guns. That terrifes most of us.
Personally, I don't own a gun, and don't want one. I also don't want only criminals to have them.
I think only people with permits should have them. And they should be controlled, and taxed to death. You should be responsible for keeping tabs of your gun.
I would like to have very limited gun use, and make it a seriuos crime to have one without proper permits.
Ideally, I would like them all gone, but then the heavily-armed drug lords would be moving into my neighborhood.
Then, I'd have to stab 'em with a steak-knife!

Guns may facilitate crime but they don't create it. We have a gun culture due to our peculiar history as pioneers and, unfortunately, as conquerors of native inhabitants. But guns can be deterrents to crime as well as facilitators. Give up any idea that we will give up guns. The enlightened among us have agreed to control their use and the unenlightened argue that since criminals still get guns, control doesn't work. But no laws have ever completely eliminated the crimes they are meant to deter. Control is the operative word and on balance it does have a beneficial effect.

Honestly, I dont think you hear about ALL the crime that happens outside of the US. Maybe you should start paying more attention to what happens in other countries, and then come back and ask a different question. Weapons themselves do not create violence; humans who are F*cked up in the head create violence.

Firearms DO NOT create violent crime. The individuals using them do.
