They said one time on Oprah that you use less toilet paper if you put it OVER. I guess because you can see it and rip it right where you want. If it is under...it is a little harder to judge the correct amount. I just know that for years we had it under and then my Mom saw that on Oprah and after that we put it over.

I just wish my 3 men would change the toilet paper roll!!

I prefer it under it works for me, I have tried it both ways to see
which is more comfortable and i have found when it is over
the Role has a habit of falling off on top of my body when I am
on the Throne it can work out messy it it falls on the wrong Place.
Some People have Big Houses but mine is a Typical small
European House and not a lot of space in Toilet. So the answer is

Normally I put the toilet paper over because the end is easier to find. However, when my kids were little, I had to put the roll on the other way because they loved to "pat" the soft roll and when it's under, it won't unroll on the floor.

OVER

I've always been told that having the toilet paper coming off over the roll is a extension of hospitality to guests. To have the roll coming out under (hidden) says you don't really want them using your stuff and they aren't welcomed in your home.

I didn't argue the point. I would rather people feel welcomed at my house.....so over it goes!

Over, definitely -- I always try to install a new roll before my husband gets to it because he prefers it under and will not accept that over is correct.
