get your eyelashes tinted. Then put mascara on your top lashes and use a clear mascara for the bottom lashes to give them definition but without the smudges. If you dont want to tint your eyelashes i smudge a small amount of eyeline just under the eyelashes and blend and it doesnt smudge so much as the mascara. I was shown how to do this when buying the product and it really has helped and you dont end up looking like a clown. But dont be scared to experiment have a makeup night with your girlfriends if they like makeup and you'll learn from each other in a group everyone has different ideas and you normally get some great advice

The way to apply it on the bottom is to use a brush like Maybelline UnStoppable, I reccomend it. You can buy it for about £6 at superdrug. It is great on the bottom lashes, but you have to be careful. If you smudge it, just start again. As soon as you get good at it, then it will be easy.
Hold the brush over the bottom lash, and gently flick down. Remove any clumps. It may help if you blink into the brush. If your eyelashes are really short on the bottom, maybe you should just show off the top eyelashes.
Happy to Help!

Try using Cover Girl's Lash Exact mascara. I never used to put mascara on my bottom lashes because it would just look scary. Only use one coat and use a very light hand. Good luck!

ok, dont do the bottom lashes, it will smudge easy and make your eyes look swelled up, and often a bit to stark. try this: use a cheaper mascarra, (there is no need to buy expensive ones) in black/brown (plain black iis often to stark aswell) and wipe any excess mascarra off using a tissue, and apply a thin coat on each eye's top lashes, reaching from right underneath to top, leave to dry briefly and repeat. leave to dry, then use a eye lash curler on each set of eye lashes, making sure you get right underneath, but make sure you are comfortable, and squeeze the handles together firmly, but not too tight, hold for 30-40 seconds and release. then brush through a few times with an eye lash brush, to create noticable, soft darker eye lashes, with a good length and curl. then use a eyeliner in brown/black (again black is to stark) and put a med thickness line from the outside of the bottom of the eye and smooth out till just after half way. This will provide smouldering eye lashes and eyeliner, that people will notice. Everyone always comment me on my eye make up and are often under the ifluence that i have long eye lashes, which i dont, they are about normal length. Good luck experimenting!

It's all in the brush! If you haven't already, try Max Factor's new mascara! It's got rubbery bristles instead of a brush and it doesn't clump at all! It's really easy to apply to the bottom lashes too. Just dab along the bottom rather than trying to brush down them as you'll get into a gooey mess! It's the mascara they advertised on TV recently claiming to have used it for 'Memoirs of a Geisha'.

First of all, there's nothing wrong with doing your bottom lashes.
Okay, you have to wipe the wand until it's practically dry. Then, with the END of the wand (don't poke yourself in the eye) and with a light hand, carefully brush the individual hairs twice. Works like a treat, doesn't smudge (unless you wipe your eye, which is what everyone else is probably doing). Doing your bottom lashes opens up the eye area, but beware if you have dark circles as it can make them look worse. It's your call.

dont wear it on the bottom lashes, that only makes you look like a couple of spiders have settled on your face, make sure there isnt too much mascara on the brush before applying

I've never put mascara on my bottom lashes, I was always told that the natural blinkng action was all you need to lightly coat the lower lashes.

Your not supposed to put mascara on your bottom lashes because it looks too...... i dont know but you should also try and eyelash curler if you don't already use one. Oh and also wipe the mascara wand on a napkin(but make sure you don't wipe all the mascara off the brush) so when you put it on your eyelashes they don't get clumped up.
