What is the top of the broom called? I know the bottem is the sick ( correct me if I am wrong) Help me and my stupidity out!!!!

(-: It's funny -- I also automatically assumed that the "top" of the broom is the broomstick. But I think you mean the bristles.

This site is how to make a broom, and it says that the three parts of the "broomcorn" are the stalks, knurl and brush.

I think there might be different terms for this kind of, ahem, magical broom, and for a broom like the Fuller Brush man sells.

The broomstick is also called the handle.

It's not a stupid question -- we don't use those words in everyday conversation, so it's easy to forget them.

Broom - a long handled implement for throwing and occasionally sweeping.
Parts of a broom:
End - the tip of the broom shaft
Head - the large part with the bristles
Shaft - the long part of the broom that defines it (wood/metal/plastic)

A broom that is made of a stick with a bundle of twigs tied to the end (Like those depicted as used by witches) is called a besom.
