my thing is that i want to go to a dinner that i have to dress up t go in somewere that is fancy and all but i dont know were to go to money is not the problem i need just some place and im goinf mad not noing where to go to can anyone help

There are all kinds of nice restaurants in the LA area. Its hard to recommend something without knowing where in LA you are going to be and what kind of food that you like. In Santa Monica, you might try: The Lobster, Melisse, Josie, Jiraffe, Valentinos, Rockenwagners or Chaya, to name a few.

You dint mention the cuisine you are interested in,Anyway i think you can try these,PF,Changgs(chinese,DOnt miss the banan spring rolls desert here),Red Lobster(seafood) and COzymels(mexican)
ANd there are some Indian & Thai restaurants in the restaurants in the Santa Monica area offering great food with wonderful interiors,
