hell no! never never trust any mechanic, not even if you've known him for years....once i took my car to a mechanic cause it wasn't running pretty weird and he told me that it needed all these new things and it was gonna be like 425.00 dollars to fix it to run like new(my car is only 1 1/2 years at this point)so i freaked out and told him i would go back tomorrow. so about 2 weeks later i told my husband to take the car to see if he would tell him the same story, well he didn't...he told my husband it was probably running a little weird cause it hadn't had an oil change in 6 months...so i guess cause i was a GIRL he wanted to take advantage of me....later that day both me and my husband returned and confronted him...he was face red!!!!!!!!

Yes. I went to Midas to get some work done on my car and they over priced me by $214. I went to my mechanic and he said that I didn't need half of the stuff that the Midas guy said I needed. With me being a woman, mechanics try to get over on us, so it's good to know that I can trust him.

I don't have a mechanic now. My ex-husband was my mechanic but I was always the last one who's car he would repair so I would get him to fix it by threatening to take it to the competition. BUT he was very good at his job, probably still is.

Yes but I know a little about cars, you shouldn't if you have no knowledge. It's good to get educated here.
