It's really, really hard, but FORCE yourself to workout for at least twenty minutes. Good workout, too, not meandering around your block once. It'll help get your energy up and once your metabolism starts pumping, you'll feel more awake. As you keep to this, you'll feel less sleepy day after day.

Either have a siesta, or take some exercise. I used to roller blade home from work, along a canal...it was great fun, gorgeous scenery, and really livened me up after a hard day.

Seriously, though... try exercising, cutting back on eating starchy foods in the afternoon, all the stuff recommended above. Maybe a cup of coffee or tea might perk you up.

Watch out what you eat. Reduce sugar and sweets intake.
Limit coffee to three small ones per day. One in the morning, one in at around one
and one at around 5-6.
IF you eat chocolate, eat dark chocolate, not milk chocolate.
Also try ginseng herbal tea

Don't sit down keep moving. I have the same problem when I am day shift. Keep moving. Because I know once I get comfortable I am done. Try getting a little more ZZZZZZZZZZZZ's at night.

a nice walk in the fresh air always works and try not to eat sugary fatty food after lunchtime, when you feel tied go with apricots or bannanas
