How can i coax him into his hygene routine without serenading him first?

You need a high voltage cattle prod. Every time you pick up the didgeridoo, zap him with the prod. Then make soothing noises and cut his nails immediately afterwards. He will soon associate the didgeridoo with pain, and nail cutting with soothing relief, and all you'll have to do is touch the didgeridoo and he'll be begging for you to cut his nails.

make clipping noises in his ear while you play a recording of that sad song for the first few times. Their nails get real long, I know, I used to have one until it tore out the door in a whirlwind of anger frenzy (all because I didn't lock the door 10 times before letting go of the handle).
So, Slowly lower the volume on the recording and highten the volume of the clipping sounds each time he gets his nail clipped. Eventually he should adjust to it.
Good job BTW... playing the digereedoo takes a lot of talent. I didn't know you could play a melodie like that on it! WOW!

Try distracting him with painting. While he is pondering the question 'Cin you guess what it is yet?' gently file his nails to the rhythm of Waltzing Matilda'..... save the didjeridoo for the more intimate hygeine areas.
