this is gonna sound dumb, but wat is the opposite of "chair"

Well you sit in a chair and the opposite of sit is stand.
And a chair is a piece of furniture, so is a hat stand. So I'm going to say "Hat Stand" is the opposite of chair.

As a chair is an object on which one sits, you could say that the opposite is the one who does the sitting ~ the sitter

Not every word has an opposite. Chair, for instance, has no opposite.

I don't think you can actually have an opposite for chair, any more than you could have one for penguin or watermelon. Chair, a noun, simply is an OBJECT, a named item which stands on it's own (pun intended).
