i do love my side by side... yeah, it doesn't fit a pizza box, but it does fit everything else. actually, it fits a whole lot more things. mine is so much taller. also, the freezer is a whole lot bigger. my side by side also has adjustable shelves on the doors. i LOVE that.
i agree with Whirlpool. they have great products. i would avoid Maytag. my sister had MAJOR problems with their repair men & their waranty. they were unreliable & pretty stupid.

No brand name recommendation, but....DO NOT BUY A SIDE BY SIDE!!! The refrigerator side is always too skinny!!!!! Heck, you can't even put a pizza box in most of 'em.

Go with a GE. You will pay a little more but it is worth it.
