in Iraq, Fox Notnews. Should they be not allowed to vote in the election because the only campaign ads they see are misleading and conjecture laden ads for GOP candidates?

The Military bases in Iraq only show Fox, no CNN or any other news source.

I agree with you completely, I think anyone who watched news other than fox would be ostracized in the military, it has alway's been republican (pro-war)..

Aren't the only adds all of us see the conjecture laden and misleading adds of both parties? I have seen only a handful of decent adds on t.v. the whole campaign season. A couple dems and a couple GOP candidates. Other than that, it seems that both sides have been hitting the other quite hard on what they did wrong. I say screw that, don't tell me what the other did wrong or hasn't done or won't do. Tell me what you did right, or what you will do right. Of course the only reason they do the slinging of mud is because they know it works. Its worked in the past and will work in the future because god knows, as Americans we love us some mudslinging. The uglier the better that's what I always say.
And as much as Fox News isn't the news (which I agree with) neither are any other supposed news networks. Fox just happens to be the only conservative one. And I've not heard that the military is only allowed to view Fox News, not saying its not true, but this is the first I've heard about it. I would hope that isn't the case, but who the hell knows.
Also, not allowing someone to vote because of the news they watch is like not letting stupid people have babies. Good in theory, but impossible in practice. Stupid people are going to have babies, and ignorant people who only hear one side of the news are going to vote. Its the way it is in this here country of ours.

They have access to all channels via Internet. I am sure they don't all choose one channel or another. They watch all of them depending on the person. But there is a connection to the far right and Fox News agenda. I think CNN and MSNBC tries harder to show both sides. It is not their fault that our President only has a 38% approval rating. Saw that on TV today and it is a average of all the polls. I would get fired at any job I ever had have if I could only get a 38% approval rating. Pretty Sad......

They have access to all the stations that broadcast in Iraq - that includes CNN and MSNBC. They also have internet access, so they can watch or read any news they choose. It is also needless to say that they have a front row seat to breaking news everyday.

Your statement is entirely false. Where did you come up with such trash?

Not only do our people in Iraq have full access to news from the U.S. and from worldwide sources, they know exactly what is happening in Iraq, because their boots are on the ground there. You and your kind tried to stop their votes from being counted in the last election, and actually had some success, but not much. What a TRAITOROUS ACT!

Are you related to John Kerry? The troops have more of a right to vote than anyone. As for Fox, they are way less biased than CNN.

I wouldn't worry about what news sources they are watching as much as worrying about that idiot John Kerry saying that the U.S. troops are dumb. Trust me, the Troops could be reading the Liberalist of the Liberal newspapers the New York Times and they still wouldn't vote for a Democratic. At this point I don't even think you could pay them to vote Democratic. Way to go John Kerry. Good thing he wasn't our President.

These are the men and women fighting for our freedom, you think they don't know what's going on? Are you kidding, should they NOT be allowed to vote??

That's not true. They also have access to CNN and MSNBC. They CHOOSE to watch Fox news, because it's closer to the truth of what's going on there.

Besides, some people don't rely on news to tell them which way to vote.

If you're going to use that logic, then everyone who watches CNN or CBS shouldn't be allowed to vote because the news stories they see are all misleading and frought with half-truths and purposely twisted facts with one objective in mind -- to further the liberal agenda.
