Batman doesn't always carry it on him, but he does have kryptonite (probably at the bat cave) in the event that he needs to bring down Superman. Batman is a big planner like that. There are not very many people he trusts.

Yes it is true he had to do it because Superman was being controled by pioson ivy infact he had catwoman distract ivy while batman knock some sense into him using a ring made of krytonite that was given to him by superman just in case. This happened in a comic that I think was called Batman vs. Superman I think was a mini series I had the comic somewhere but I know at the end it showed the debut of Supergirl

Batman always has a peice of kryptonite stored somewhere JUST IN CASE...
Knightwing (Dick Grayson) of the Outsiders also has a piece. He had a stand off with Superman in a recent Outsiders comic.

It's True! Go Batty!
But I have another question. Why is it that no one seems to have a problem with Lex Luther being Superman's arch-nemisis, and being capable of destroying him, but mention Batman fighting him and every one freaks out because Batman's human?

Yes,
Not sure about him always carrying it. I think thats new. I did see it in the justice league cartoon though.
In the dark Knight returns, and in DK2 the sequel to it. Batman not only kicks the crap out of superman (in the first one he was beating the crap out of him then bats faked a heart attack to look like he died fighting superman, in DK2 he beats superman to within and inch of his life and says "now get out of my cave".
Not only does batman kick the crap out of superman in these, but he does it when he is 40 years old!

interior the ask your self/ DC crossover, Batman by no skill defeated Captain usa. incredibly, while the DC heroes went into the ask your self universe. They JLA and Avengers began to conflict one yet another. Batman and Captain usa began to spar with one yet another, after like 10 min. Batman stops and says to Cap " it is going to take an prolonged time, yet ultimately you will beat me. in spite of the undeniable fact that it is going to take an extremely long term". Then they discovered whats taking place...

it happened most recently in the Batman "Hush" storyline. Bats held him off due to the ring that Superman GAVE Batman in the case he went nuts and had to be stopped.
Bats also took him down in the JLA series in the "Tower of Babel" arc. He had failsafes in place to take down the whole JLA and Ra's Al Guhl pirated them and used them on the league.

Batman is an *** and could never defeat the man of steal...Come mortal against super powers, I think not.
Do not get me wrong I love the Batman series...I just think that Batman is just a man with gadgets. Super Man has real powers.
