I was called to do an interview at an IT firm, but i have no experience. they say the position is for a "Junior IT specialist" but i've only worked on tech support in the past on hardware issues. what types of things would i need to know to get the job? am i wasting my time going on the interview or are the skills something they will teach me on the job? any help from IT people would be appreciated. Thanks so much.

mmh_edison: do you think that i should go on the interview? i think i am a very fast learner, but i don't want to waste their time if they need someone with background. i wondered if it's ever the case where in IT they are willing to take on people who don't know anything but will be trained on the job. thanks to all who take the time to help me.
