Some people don't' really know who began the genre of blues music. I do know one thing. The blues genre came from African Americans. This music trails all the way back to African American slaves.

W. C. Handy brought the world of Classical Music to the world of Blues. Wailing voicings and gutteral tones were finally put down on paper for all to learn. He also learned to publish his music.
