So I've been in a relationship for 6 years and we don't have as much sex as we used to. Is that normal or can I say he's getting it somewhere else? I've heard that guys can't go longer than a week, and we've gone way longer than a week without it. UGH... I'm frustrated!

You're probably right. Maybe the two of you have lost touch with eachother. It might be hard to swallow but it's very likely.

Here are some indicators if he's with someone else:

1.) You don't talk as much anymore and everytime the two of you are alone in a room, there is an awkward silence.

2.) Your sex life is dwindling.

3.) He doesn't notice the slightest differences in either your physical appearence or social happenings.

4.) Everytime he gets a call on his cell, he will step out of the room to talk to the other person on the other line.

5.) He answers your questions with simple, answers, and does not seem too concerned with what's going on in your life.

Then again, these are just generalities. Maybe he's just having trouble becoming aroused or maybe the two of you have been too busy for sex. Work and stress can play a major factor in one's love life. My advice is observe first and wait awhile on it. If his inacitivity persists, ask him flat out why you're not having as much sex as you used to. Don't ask him if he's cheating; that will only anger or offend him. Communication is key.

The longer the relationship (this also include the guy getting older) the less need for sex. Unless you are getting some other vibes, I'd discout that he's cheating on you. Medications can also influence a guys sex drive. It has been said when it comes to sex, men are mircowave ovens and women crock pots, but that is not always true. Sex begins in the kitchen, not the bedroom. Woo him, Get some new sexy outfits, offer to do it somewhere different. Give him the hot and bothered "I want you now." speech. Send him an e-mail/fax/text message with a L.M.L.T. (Let's make love tonight) while he is at work. Good luck!

It really depends on his age and health.

The older he is the less his sex drive.
Also there are some health conditions that diminsh sex drive.

All that said.. most guys like to have it several times a week if they can get it.

If you only offer once a week then he is either helping himself or he has found a booty-call.

Have him see a doc and get a check up. If he's healthy then sit down and talk with him about it.. maybe he's bored or he has perfomance anxiety... or something...

I think all sexual relationships start to dwindle the longer you are together. Me and my husband used to be bunnies but things defintely slow down. I wouldn't worry about him cheating unless you are seeing other warning signs. By the way, the biggest warning sign of cheating is him accusing you of cheating!

Try to spice things up a little bit, go somewhere romantic for a night, get new lingerie, get sex toys, anything! Just change it up!

Some older men that are married don't have sex at all. There is no cardinal limit or anything. It depends on the guy. I can have sex up to several times a day for several days straight (after that, chafing begins to happen), and after, simply pleasuring my partner will suffice if they are as insatiable as I am. It really depends on the guy though and the social environment he was raised in.

you know sweety, ive had my relations for only 6 months. and honestly. i dont understand guys either. The first week we were at it like animals. hahah

now, i dont get what happened because we have sex like once a week if that.

Ive definitly had the thought of him getting it somewhere else. and i mean who knows.

I dont understand either, but all i do know is whenever we try, the last minute he says " im tired" or my tummy hurts.

theres always an excuse.

i wish you good luck if you wish me good luck. haha

I think everyone goes through lulls. Sometimes it's just that you're both tired or just out of sync with each other (he wants it when you're not in the mood and vice versa). Have you tried initiating sex? If not, try it. If you have and he turns you down more than once, ask if something is wrong.

I think its normal. maybe try to spice things up sometimes like suprising him w/ sexy clothing or a massage or something. add some excitement to the relationship. I think you guys might just be falling into that comfort rut. if spicying it up still doesnt change things, than i would start considering the cheating thing.
