I always find it much easier to forgive others their trespasses than to forgive myself mine. What does one or the other say about a person? Just interested in peoples points of view.

I find it harder to forgive other people. When I do something "bad" I at least understand what drove me to do it at the time. I know my feelings are true when I feel regret. Since I trust myself I can forgive myself and move on. I believe in myself to try my best to not make the same mistake again.

Since there's no way to know what's going on in someone else's mind, I sometimes doubt that an apology is heartfelt. I do wonder if they feel bad for hurting me or just that they got in trouble for it. I don't trust others as much as I trust myself and that makes it difficult to forgive them as easily.

I have a close friend that thoughtlessly hurts peoples feelings on a regular basis. Mostly it's by making the same mistakes over and over again. She spits out a quick "sorry" and keeps going. It's hard for me to forgive her a lot since she never takes the time to think about how she hurt someone and she seems to make little or no effort to keep it from happening again.

I think for the most part it is easier for people to forgive others quicker. We are a lot of times harder on our self then other people. I know I find myself being harder on my self and less forgiving then I am with other people. I don't hold grudges and I don't like to have ill feelings about another. It's nice to know there are other people like me out there. Have a wonderful week.

Its always been said that you are your own worst enemy. I find it much harder to forgive myself, rather than to forgive others. It's easy to look at other people and see their stupidity in their own mistakes. It's hard to look at yourself, and know that you failed yourself and possibly other people.

We always expect more from ourselves and when we do not reach that plato we're dissatisfied and hard. That's why it's easier to forgive outward than inward. I used to be too hard on myself; now I just "let it burn"
