I have been reprimanded at work...and i know i'm not all the way in the right, but sometimes my boss is WAY in the wrong....and everyone knows she is an idiot...everyone. Yet her boss basically told me that i need to do whatever my boss says, even if she directs me in the wrong way and its not my place to correct her. I'm suppose to stumble in the dark, and not say a word when i fall.
I was so angered by her response, i just wanted to cry and it took all i had not to let my voice crack.
i want so bad to quit but i can't afford to. I fi quit, i will not be able to find a job that pays as well as this one, at least not right away. What should il do? I hate this place...i actually have feelings of hate.

Get the job done, no more, no less. When you leave work, leave work behind. Begin working today on finding a new job. Use every available outlet to find a new position/job.

Kill your boss with kindness. Ask for explanations on how to do things exactly her way... and then do it exactly that way.

And know two things:
1. Don't sweat the small stuff.
2. It's all small stuff.

Sometimes people on the job will make your life a living hell on purpose. You have either two options. 1. Get a tougher skin and always be two steps ahead of her, or 2. Find a new job. I did both. I felt as you did, that I couldn't find a job had good pay and hours, but I couldn't get anywhere. My supervisor made sure of that and often shredded my resume when I was trying to find a better position in another department. It all boiled down to the fact that she was jealous and she wanted someone to belittle. It was so uncomfortable at first, but I searched for a new job everyday, and went on interviews on my vacation days. If you feel that you're not climbing up the ladder at your job and you're taking the abuse for nothing, girl, don't ruin your health by stressing over that cow, do something about it. I wish you all the luck in the world.

Crying is a cleansing. Your last statement got my attention: never let anything take your tools of respect and self love away. Once you hate, you feed that concept and it overwhelms you. Then you wonder why your blessings are so far away. Do not harbor hate. Try On Assignment Temp Agency or other Temp Agencies. Once you release the hate. You will be promoted to a new job location with more pay and a better, healthy, loving atomoshphere. Trust in GOODNESS. Psalms 91 read it&receive your Blessings!Today is a day of accomplishment, mircales shall follow mircales and wonders shall never cease to exist.

It's a job that you need. Go in everyday to work do what you need to do and get out. Do not bring work, home with you. Remember they have hired you to work there and not to make friends. Sorry to sound so hard core, but it true. Having friends at work is a bonus but not a necessity. So put a smile on your face, do your job and maybe your boss will appreciate that.

the thing is that you need to put out feelers for a different job.... you should enjoy what you do, and the people you work with.... at least most of them.... you may need to take a pay cut, but you will find a way to survive.... feelings of hate toward your job, or boss causes stress, and other medical problems .... hang in there, but get out as soon as possible. good luck.

Try to look at it as a place you go to derive income to support your house hold. In the mean time start putting in resumes to other places of employment with the understanding no one will call your present job for references at this time. Sometimes when we put our emotions and energy in to something positive it makes us handle the negative better because we are looking for light at the end of the tunnel. Instead of being in the tunnel and not seeing any light. Good luck to you.

I agree with MSA. You can also look at it as a game - and how do you win it. If you need to fake a good attitude and kiss up to your boss and her boss, then look at it as part of a chess game that will help you get ahead. Be ruthless and unmerciful.

Just know that you are working there temporarily and only to get money.
Keep it in mind that you are going to get another job-start looking.
This will make you feel less confined to the "hell hole" you are working in and make it a little more tolerable until you find something else.
And you will.
Good luck!

well i like some thing that i heard Donald trump said: " if you don't like your job quit".
its only unwise though to quit without finding another job first so look for another job and keep this one till you find a new job.
one more thing you should not let people control your life you should do that.
