I am going in for a second ultrasound today. The first one that I had it had its legs up against the uterine wall, so they couldnt see the sex. We were really disappointed last time, what are the chances of it just liking that position and still being in it? Also I was pretty stressed out last night, will that have any effect?

I had an ultrasound at every single appointment when I was pregnant (they just have machines in every room at my doctors' office) and my baby always backwards with her legs crossed, so they were never real confident about the sex. Even when she was moving she had her legs crossed. They both predicted that it was a girl, but told me not to buy too much pink yet because they were only about 70% sure. When I had my baby three months ago we were holding our breath waiting to see what the sex was for sure when she came out. Luckily, it was a girl.

This will depend on how advanced your pregnancy is. If you are eight months along, and your last ultrasound was a week ago, there is a chance that the baby has not moved very much from that position, but if you are six months along and your last ultrasound was a month ago, the baby could be in any position. Stress doesn't determine your baby's position.

Try drinking orange juice about 20 mins before the ultrasound. Sugars usually cause baby to move around more and you'll probably get a better shot eventually during the ultrasound. Good luck and congrats.

Odds are the baby has moved, at this point, though you may feel full, there's still plenty of room for the baby in there! Also, we're a little leary on ultrasounds, unless they show me body parts, I'm skeptical. Our last one was a boy all the way up to delivery when he turned into Mikayla Anne!!! So good luck, and congrats, let us know what they say, it'll be exciting either way!

Usually to tell the sex in an ultrasound they say you have to wait until after 20 weeks anyway........just remember......if they say it's a boy then it's probably a boy.........but if they say it's a girl then there is more of a chance of them being wrong. My doctor is a specialist and I have level 2 ultrasounds.......they are a little more clear and accurate....... I know mine is a girl! Congrats and remember - an ultrasound is not 100 % accurate in determining the sex of the baby........so be prepared for surprises.

in case you had an ultrasound at 20 weeks and have been waiting to tell the gender then they'll in all probability wait till 33 weeks or so for yet another ultrasound. i'm on Medicaid and that they have got been going to do one at 7 weeks yet I miscarried. i'm effective they might have executed yet another one around 20 weeks to determind gender and then perhaps yet another around 33 weeks. I had 5 ultrasounds while i replaced into below yet another insurance with my 1st infant.

babies move and change postions all the time so it's possible that the baby will be in better positioning to see the sex. I wouldnt be stressed about finding out the sex, and the stress is not going to have an affect on being able to see or not. Please be more concerned about the development of the organs and such, no matter how fun it is to find out.

It is very possible for you to be able to find out the sex of your baby as being 20 weeks along your baby still has alot of room to move and flip around ..... also if you count the heart beats you can find out what the sex is : faster = boy / slower = girl
good luck sweetie!!!!
