what can i do?i have tried chkdsk.

If Defrag says it can mend it, let it do that. Otherwise get some disk tools like Norton Tools which can read your disk and fix those inconsistencies.

Please fix this ASAP otherwise those will lead into Bad Blocks. The reason this happens is frequent powercuts!! I lost a 40GB HDD in that. The symptom is your Operating System takes a loooooooooong time to load!! I had 20GB of Bad Blocks!! (Sigh!)

Get the disk fixed and put an UPS to your PC.
