Sorry but you are not runway material, your not even good enough for average model unless you lose weight. I am model Myself, and I am 5ft 9 and weigh 100 lbs. send me a pic if you want and i can give ya some pointers as to what you need to do.

5'8" is the right height but you would have to lose some weight for most agencies. There are more agencies now that specialize in plus size models but not many. Have you thought about becoming a Hand or face model? Just something to think about.

What if you were a model for companies that sell all different sizes of clothing? I know there are a lot of stores specializing in "womens" clothing (David's Bridal, Lane Bryant, Coldwater Creek's womens etc) and they always have models that aren't anywhere near stick-thin. I'm sure they have runway shows too to show off their clothing line. Not all models are extremely thin, I'm sure you can find some type of modeling job. Good luck!

At that height/weight ratio your only option as of now would be to try plus sized modeling. They usually want you AT LEAST 5'8 but usually prefer 5'9 or above. Also they prefer between size 10-16. If you are proportionate and have a pretty face this could be a route. If you are really serious you should get some head shots taken, or do a TFP or Trade For Prints shoot. Then you can submit them to agencies like Wilhelmina, Ford and Brand models who all have a plus division.

In this day and age, you probably weigh too much (don't be offended). Runway models are usually stick skinny and you will be expected to meet these expectations.

unfortunately when it comes to models they need the "perfect" image. for me, im short, 5'3" and 100 pounds and when i went they said they are looking for a specific height and specific weight and if you dont meet those requirements then you are stuck! :( its sad i know but keep trying! tall models are becoming a big statement they say!
