When you loose Stone Cold and the Rock, the WWE had to promote someone to fill those shoes. What big shoes to fill. Cena is very marketable, with his appearance and personality. If you think about it, the WWE can pretty much lure you into liking or disliking whoever, whenever they want. Take for example, Hulk Hogan. When he started out, he was extremely popular. They then turned him into a bad guy and fans hated him for awhile. It's all marketing for them. The release of his new movie did not hurt his popularity at all.
