A US silver quarter coin minted before 1965 is 90% silver, and now that silver is trading at $12.00 an ounce a quarter, (1/4 ounce) coin is worth something like $2.00, or a little more. Hold on to it because in the next year or so it will be worth way more.

It's well worth buying in my opinion because there's so much to explore. Just like in Gold and Silver for the Gameboy Color, you can challenge the 8 gyms in Johto and the 8 gyms in Kanto as well once you've beaten the Elite Four. There are several rare Pokemon that you couldn't obtain in Platinum such as Kyogre (if you buy Heart Gold, Groudon for Soul Silver) and not to mention Ho-oh and Lugia. There's just an amazing amount of content in this game and it will keep you entertained for hours.

If it was worth it to you when you bought it, then it was definitely worth it!! Shouldn't matter if you paid $100 if it was important to you. Think you did good though.
